Sten Ulloa Carler is a Chilean-Swedish pianist born in 1997.
He grew up in Chile, where he began his piano studies with Cecilia Chiang in Concepcion.

After moving to Sweden in 2006, he continued his studies with the Russian pedagogue Zinaida Oganova Larsson at the Virtuoso Musikskola. Sten then entered the Södra Latin High School in Stockholm where he studied with Ann-Sofi Klingberg. During his high school years, he started to perform in concerts in Stockholm. He was for example chosen to be a soloist with the orchestra of Södra Latin High School and performed Chopins first piano concerto in the school aula.
He continued his formal studies with Julia Mustonen-Dahlkvist at the Ingesund School of Music, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 2019. During his years at Ingesund, Sten won prizes at various international competitions in England, Sweden and Chile. Among others, he won first prize at the Chilean national competition ”Certamen Flora Guerra” at the Teatro Municipal of Santiago in Chile 2018.
In 2019, Sten moved to Paris to pursue a master's degree at the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP) with Roger Muraro and Isabelle Dubuis. In addition to his formal training he has had the opportunity to attend master classes with musicians such as John O'Connor, Angela Hewitt, and David Fray. Sten has been the recipient of several scholarships from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, Gålöstiftelsen, Jubelfonden, Forssius Stiftelse and Fondation Meyer.
Sten is currently living in Stockholm and pursuing another master's degree at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm/Edsberg manor with Mats Widlund and Mats Zetterkvist.​
