Sten's career has been marked by several competition successes in Sweden, England and Chile. Most recently in 2024 he was a prizewinner at the Malmö Yamaha Piano Competition. He has also received several scholarships from, among others, the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, the Gålö Foundation, the Anders Sandrew Foundation, the Jubel Foundation, the Forssius Foundation and the Meyer Foundation.

He is now finishing his artist diploma studies at the Malmö Academy of Music with Francisca Skoogh. In March 2026 he had his debut with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra performing Prokofievs third piano concerto.

”The pianist presented his voice with a clarity and precision that put the composition at the center. Not a trace of solo exhibitionism. No, this was musical culture of a noble kind. In the solo cadenzas and the encore there was a kind of self-evidentness that makes you just have to listen. ”
